Students from the STRIVE/TRIO programs painted the concrete “C” emblazoned on C-Hill and cleaned up prairie grass that had over-grown the site Wednesday afternoon. This was done in preparation of Saturday’s football game, when the Eagles will face off against UNK’s Lopers.

An exhibit by Shane Haley, a graduate of University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is currently located in Memorial Hall. Most are graphite drawings, but a few are acrylic paint on canvas. The drawings all have tree-like figures.

Sometimes when I am very bored and I feel my eyes glazing over, I find it ridiculously entertaining to flip back and forth between random channels. During one of these channel-flipping sessions, I wound up comparing a story about apes on the Discovery Channel to the cast of MTV’s hit show, “Jersey Shore.” Surprisingly, the story lines are interchangeable!

The cast and crew of the CSC theatre department obviously put a lot of time and effort into the production of The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Unfortunately, the static plot, stereotypical characters, and flat portrayal of southern Jewish culture resulted in an unmemorable performance.
