Legal Studies, Criminal Justice clubs call for gumshoes tonight

Whodunit at Chadron State College? The Legal Studies and Criminal Justice clubs are hosting a Halloween bash at 7:30 tonight in room 326 of the Old Admin building to find out. The party will be a clue-based party, where those attending will try to solve a murder mystery.

The party is set to mainly center around a murder trial. The suspects are the Legal Studies and Criminal Justice faculty.

A mock trial video has already been filmed, and those attending will watch the film. Clues will be dropped randomly throughout the night. At the end, everyone in attendance will write down the suspect they believe was the murderer, then all the answers will be dropped in a hat. The first correct answer drawn will win a prize.

Lynette Eibert, a member of the Legal Studies club who is helping with the Halloween bash, said that the club originally wanted to do a haunted house, but instead decided to go with the murder mystery party theme.

Raymond Doud, another member of the Legal Studies club added that this party will be a “good way to bring students together outside of the classroom.”

“We usually throw really good parties,” Doud said.

Students are encouraged to attend in-costume.
