Three talented choral conglomerates graced the Chadron Arts Center this past Sunday, Nov. 6th, at 3pm. Conducted by Dr. Joel Scheuder and Dr. Una Taylor, the trifecta consists of the CSC Men’s Ensemble, Arioso (the woman’s ensemble), and the Concert Choir.

Nebraska State College System Chancellor Stan Carpenter is scheduled to address faculty, students, and community members during his annual “State of the System” address today at 11 a.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.
Students have the opportunity to receive a flu shot anytime between 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. today in the Red Room.

At its first meeting of the year, the Senate Finance Committee discussed ways to allow clubs to access accounts online and criteria for budget packets.
The Campus Activities Board allocated money for “Bongo Ball” and expressed disinterest in the Reta E. King Library renovations.
Samantha Evans, treasurer, said the CAB account contains $6,450.
At Monday’s meeting, Senate members reviewed Halloween events’ success and the library renovation.
Treasurer T.J. Thomson said there is $12,805 in unallocated funds.
Don Holst, 81, of Chadron, was born during the Great Depression and grew up during World War II. Of his birth and upbringing, Holst said, “I was conceived the day the stock market fell. So I was off to a good start. When I got a little older, we had a world war. It was ornery times.”
Memorial Hall’s Auditorium was packed Tuesday night, with members from the community outnumbering college students.
Last Tuesday, just before 10 a.m., one of our staff members passed by a purple truck that had two firearms mounted visibly inside the cab.
