Perhaps last week you noticed that almost every website you visited was “blacked out.” This was because these websites were showing their dissent with the Stop Online Piracy Act, known as SOPA, and the PROTECT IP Act (Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act) also known as PIPA which were trying to be passed through Congress last week. Both are intended to curtail online piracy.

Can the Eagle wrestlers come back?

The Chadron State wrestling team grappled their way through two duals last week. On Thursday, Jan. 19 they came across Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colo. and emerged victorious with a 22-13 win over the Mavericks. Their celebration was cut short by Western State College the next night, Friday, Jan. 20, in a 28-9 loss to the Mountaineers.

Eagles to swoop into Colorado

The Eagles might as well make themselves at home at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Last week, the team traveled south to take on Colorado State University, Pueblo and the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
