Since yesterday’s launch of a new online platform, CSC’s students can now access a wealth of online data including class schedules, financial aid information, and more in mobile-friendly format.

The platform at https://mycscmobile.nebraska.edu/, termed MyCSCMobile, allows users to access data from the Nebraska Student Information System from the convenience of their mobile devices.

“NeSIS is the electronic database that contains personal records for students, parents, employees, students who have graduated since 1985 and applicants of the university’s four campuses and Nebraska’s three state colleges,” the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s website states. “It manages nearly every aspect of the student experience, including admissions, housing and course registration.”

NeSIS is housed at the University of Nebraska Computer Services Network data center.

CSC’s Chief Information Officer Ann Burk said Friday that the platform was officially launched Dec. 20 and that, as it was a part of the statewide NeSIS project, the college paid less than $5,000 for its use.

Chadron State is the only one of Nebraska’s three state colleges to adopt the new system, Burk said. “Wayne and Peru decided to wait.”

“We’re really excited,” she said. “Students will have access to MyCSC from basically anywhere using their smart phones.”
