Carrico, Grint elected to executive board
CAB representatives voted on the Vice Chair of Records and Vice Chair of Relations positions during Tuesday’s meeting. The nominees for Vice Chair of Records were Morgan Carrico and Analise Garland. Garland respectfully declined her nomination and Carrico was voted in as Vice Chair of Records. The nominees for Vice Chair of Relations were Gavan Archibald and Kalen Grint. Archibald respectfully declined his nomination and Grint was voted in as Vice Chair of Relations.
At the beginning of the meeting, CAB had spent $4,834.15 and has $665.85 remaining.
CAB allocated $1,500 for Free Bowling Night from 6 – 9 p.m., Saturday.
CAB allocated $2,000 for Free Movie Night on Sunday. The movies that will be played are “The Revenant,” “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi,” and “The Big Short.” These movies are all R-rated so bring your ID in order to be admitted.
Vice Chair of Finance Molly O’Connell told representatives that budget packets will be handed out in February or March.
The Social Science club will be starting a fundraiser today for Valentine’s Day. They will be taking orders for roses, lollipops, brownies, chocolates, and cookies in the Student Center. The club will be taking orders until three days before Valentine’s Day then they will deliver the items to the correct person sometime after the three days.
Student Senate President Katrina Hurley and Senator At Large Tierra Snyder talked to CAB about Spring Days on April 29 and 30. They said they would like to partner with clubs to do booths for the event. There will be live music and activities including bubble soccer, a gerbil wheel, a dunk tank, carnival games, a bouncy castle, putt-putt golf, rock climbing, a mechanical bull, a petting zoo and more all the way from Memorial Hall to the Rangeland Complex.
