The CSC softball team split a four-game series with Regis University, Denver. The Eagles won the first two games of the series, 4-3 and 8-7, while the Rangers turned their luck around, and won the last two, 2-0 and 8-0. CSC moved to 9-13 overall, 6-5 in conference play.

Chance Helmick, junior of Beatrice, 174-pounds, went 1-2 at the NCAA D-II Tournament in Birmingham, Alabama, Friday to end his season with a record of 33-8.

Recently, President Donald Trump and his administration rescinded an executive order put in place by former President Barack Obama and his administration in May 2016, which protected transgender students in their schools. The executive order made it possible for transgender students in public institutions to choose which bathrooms and facilities correspond with their gender identities.
Chadron State track and field seniors Stachia Reuwsaat, of Black Hawk, South Dakota; Mel Herl, of Eaton, Colorado; and Tessa Gorsuch, of Rapid City, South Dakota, earned the program’s first team trophy at a national meet, placing third of 80 teams at the 2017 NCAA D-II Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend in Birmingham, Alabama.
