Tie Dye Fun Time, hosted by RLA, kicked off on Saturday, Sept. 16. Students folded and tie-dyed socks and T-shirts, at the picnic tables behind High Rise.
Resident Adviser Devin Fulton, was inspired create the event in hopes that students could find a way to “have a good time and also get the chance to make something they can show off.”
The event was successful with over 70 students coming out to show off their creativity. Fulton was impressed with the turnout of the event, saying “I was hoping at least 50 to 60 would show up.”
The event was well received by students, as it was well planned and easily accessible to students.
Randee Thayer, freshman of Rapid City, South Dakota, said that her favorite part of the event was “seeing how my tie dye turned out! I love how unique and different tie dying is and you could honestly get an infinite amount of results from it.”
“I would absolutely go to another event like this one,” Thayer said. “Anything fun and crafty is really interesting to me and would always be worth attending in my eyes.”
