Michael Bay has some explaining to do
There are so many bad movies that I’ve watched. Even bad animated films like “Norm of the North,” where it focuses on a talking polar bear trying stop a nitwit businessman from selling homes in the arctic.
There are also bad animated crossovers like “Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” where it retells the 1971 film by slapping Tom and Jerry in the background and having unpleasant moments, particularly the part where Tuffy sings the tunnel of death (No, it’s not “Pure Imagination”. That was an error in the last review).
Then, there’s bad sequels like “Transformers: The Last Knight.” Yep, another Transformers movie. Here’s the thing, I’m a Transformers fan and I understand that not everyone likes the live-action movies, but I think they could’ve done better in this.
So, it’s about Cade Yeager, played by Mark Wahlberg, and the Autobots trying to stop a threat, made by the creator named Quintessa, from destroying the earth, but also having to deal with Optimus Prime being brainwashed.
While I do like a few things in the movie, I think they need to do work on the story. In this movie, they’re still treating the Autobots like they’re the enemy and even having the humans temporary make a deal with the Decepticons, until they sided with Autobots in the end battle.
Not only that, Michael Bay is bringing more unanswered questions between the films. My question is, what happened to Sam Witwicky from the first three films?
I get Shia LaBeouf is getting into trouble as of late, but at least try to provide some explanation of what happened to him or better yet, hire a different actor. Even Marvel replaced an actor for James Rhodes or War Machine for “Iron Man 2,” so why can’t you do it for Sam, since his actor is having legal issues?
Also, Michael Bay needs to stop with the inappropriate innuendos and limit the language. He’s probably going to scar some kids for life, if more saw this.
And as for the Decepticons, he only gives titles to the recruits Megatron assembles and having them be on screen for a short amount of time.
Oh, I forgot to mention, they said Tyrese Gibson would return and Stanley Tucci back as Jousha Joyce. However, Gibson was busy in “Fate of the Furious” and Tucci played a different character Merlin. Couldn’t you say that earlier, Bay?
As I mentioned there are a few things I liked. The action scenes were good, a few Decepticon names were creative like Nitro Zeus and Berzerker, a few characters from the first three films return, and Bumblebee having his voice back. But, these are not enough to bring nostalgia.
Yeah, it’s not the greatest movie in the world and they need to do work on the Transformers franchise. So far, “The Last Knight” makes the last film “Transformers: Age of Extinction” look like a masterpiece in comparison. I’m not sure how the future Transformers films are going to do, but who knows what’s going to happen.
