Kent Hall decorates for Halloween
Kent Hall is kicking off Halloween with an RLA event hosted by Alyssa Torrez, junior of Thornton, Colorado. The Halloween extravaganza was held in The Landing Tuesday evening.
The extravaganza consisted of pumpkin decorating, prize winning, candy apple making, the viewing of the door and hall decorations. Each hall was given a budget of $10 to decorate their halls. According to RD of Kent Hall Kale Lytle a lot of the students helped out with the buying of the decorations for each hall.
Candy prizes were given to the winners of the door and hall decorations winners. Elizabeth Barbour, freshmen of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Kailee Rafert, freshman of Plainview, won the cutest door. Shawn Renfro, freshman of Orlando, Florida, and Jacob Durflinger, freshman of Alexandria, won scariest door. Skylar Smyres, freshman of Crawford, and Madelyn Morahan, freshman of Arvada, Colorado, won most creative door. Hannah Korte, freshman of Alliance, won funniest door and the south hall won the best hall decorations.
“It was a lot more than expected,” says Torrez when talking about attendance. “Mostly geared towards Kent residents, 30 people were expected.” 78 people total attended.
