CAB announces AFB training workshop

The AFB workshop will be Feb 20, 6 p.m. in the ballroom. Presidents and executive boards are strongly encouraged to attend. CAB will be going over any questions on budget packets and how to correctly fill them out.
“It came to our attention that clubs and organizations that are going on trips and/or hosting events are, even though it is not with CAB funds, drinking,” CAB Treasurer, Tierra Snyder, senior of Beatrice, said, “Be courteous that you are not drinking on these trips, and not posting any of these pictures on social media, especially having Chadron State College’s name on them.”
“I would encourage you not to drink,” Dr. Pat Beu said.
The Feminine Hygiene Initiative is now in effect within the Student Center, offering free feminine hygiene products in the bathrooms to women.
Student Trustee applications are due at noon, Feb. 9, and can be returned to Crites Hall, the Senate Office, or Dr. Pat Beu.
Farm Bureau Club mentioned that they will be hosting a guest speaker, Hilary Maricle, at 7 p.m. Feb. 8, in the ballroom. Maricle will be speaking about Genetically Modified Organisms.
Xi Delta Zeta announced that they will be hosting a Black Heart Black Tie Valentine’s Day dance, 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Feb. 9 in the ballroom. There will be a DJ, photo booth, and food.
Feb. 15, CAB and The Pit are hosting “Lip-sync Battle” 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Student Center. The Free Movie Nights for the rest of the spring semester are Feb. 18, March 18 and April 15.
