Members of the Tenth Street Miscellany journal held an open mic night and launch party for the journal’s most recent completion, Monday night, in the Mari Sandoz Center.
The Tenth Street Miscellany literature journal primarily showcases pieces of writing from undergraduate students and is generally published once a year. The journal is currently in the printing process.
Members of the journal’s team provided a variety of snacks, desserts and drinks.
About a few dozen students, teachers, and other members of the community were in attendance.
Those that took advantage of the open microphone shared poems and other short pieces of writing. Many pieces were original to the participants, but published works were also read aloud.
There were about 16 readers comprised of students and faculty members present.
