Shouts and laughter echoed through The Hub Monday when students gathered to play the popular online trivia game Kahoot.
This social contest consists of a smart board or projector displaying questions on a particular topic, and students answer the questions on their mobile devices. The theme of each game differed, with topics like “The Office,” baseball, Disney cartoons and other pop culture references.
About 60 students attended to play Kahoot.
The event began at 7 p.m., and lasted until around 9 p.m. Upon entering The Hub, students were given a raffle ticket, and were given another ticket after every game they played.
The winner of each game was awarded three extra tickets, the runner up was awarded two, and third place was awarded one. Raffle prizes included various items like a backpack, self-powering jumper cables, a blanket, and more.
Drinks were also available to students during this Resident Life Association-sponsored event. Resident Advisor Colton Alexander, 20, sophomore of Bridgeport, led the event. He said the purpose of the night was, “to bring the students of Chadron together, to socialize and have fun while playing Kahoot.”
Free milkshakes will be in the Hub Monday, at 6 p.m., as part of RLA’s Milkshake Night.
