CSC dubbed ‘Military Friendly’

G.I. Jobs magazine designated Chadron State College as “Military Friendly” for 2011.
The rank places CSC in the top 15 percent of schools nationwide in serving U.S. military and veterans.

“It’s a really cool deal for us,” Randy Rhine, vice president for enrollment management and student services and college relations, said.

CSC recently launched a new program aiming to increase the number of veterans and current members of the military in CSC programs.

Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Jon P. Hansen, who was hired to lead the initiative, said CSC has a long history with the military and veterans, and recognizes the unique challenges and benefits of serving that sector of the population.

What characteristics come to mind when the idea of a traditional Muslim woman is mentioned? Quiet? Domestic? Oppressed, even? None of these things apply to Afza Asif, junior of Islamabad, an international student who happens to be both a goal-oriented career woman and a devoted Muslim.

Why exactly do our violations not correspond with any legal, let alone logical, regulation? I paid my tuition, I paid my housing fees, I bought a meal plan. Why I am not allowed to park wherever or however I want on campus if I am a full-time student?
