Absent club reps delay CAB business

The Campus Activities Board lacked sufficient attendance during their meeting Tuesday to vote in Seth Hulquist, admissions representative, as an additional CAB sponsor. Because the mandatory two-thirds attendance of clubs was not met, no vote was taken.

Student Senate discussed ongoing Week of Welcome activities, the upcoming visit from the Board of Trustees, and a possible recycling program at their meeting at 5 p.m. Monday in the Student Center.

International Club to host dance

International Club to host dance

Chadron State College’s International Club will host a Spring Days dance on Saturday in the Student Center Ballroom from 9 – 11 p.m.
The Las Vegas-themed dance is open to all students and refreshments will be available.
International Club members will be performing their native dances and teaching students the steps, said club sponsor Frances Gonzalez.
Members are also planning to have a quiz bowl consisting of questions about interesting Las Vegas facts.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the challenge.

Open house to feature wildlife

Open house to feature wildlife

CSC’s wildlife management program will showcase a collection of mounted animals in an open house from 6 – 9 p.m. Monday at the Burkhiser Technology Complex room 231.
The collection was donated by Cabela’s of Sydney last fall and has been named the High Plains Wildlife Collection by CSC.
“We get a lot of requests from people to look at the collection,” Teresa Zimmerman, who teaches wildlife management courses at CSC, said in an article on the department’s Web site. “We like showing it off and this community event will provide a great way to show it to many people at once.”
