Chadron State’s seven-member search committee reopened the search for dean of Teaching and Learning and Liberal Arts, after the college closed the search this past week, according to an administrative representative.

Senior Art Show opens Friday

March 21-April 6, senior art students are exhibiting their culminate projects in Memorial Hall’s main gallery. Artists include Morgan Allberry, Kelsey Bogus, Jean Dobias, Timm Hoff, Joshua Hoffman, Daniel King, Marty Lastovica, Kathy Underwood, and Tiffany Wiley. A special artist’s reception will be 4-6 p.m. Friday. Refreshments will be served. Aptly named “The Big Show,” the exhibit represents Chadron’s diverse talent pool. The Main Gallery is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

O’Boyle: ‘They publicly tried to assassinate me’

For the first time in more than six months since Chadron State self-reported possible football fundraising violations to the NCAA, former Head Football Coach Bill O’Boyle spoke publicly about the ongoing investigation, the college’s administration and its governing body.

“They publicly tried to assassinate me, which they did,” O’Boyle said in a telephone interview Friday afternoon.

PR Club hosts new and returning bands for Battle Of The Bands

The Chadron State Public Relations Club is hosting its Second Annual Battle of the Bands on Friday, March 30, from 6-10 p.m., at the CSC Student Center Ballroom. Admission at the door is free to CSC students with student IDs and $3 to the public.

CSC committee selects NSCS Chancellor as commencement speaker

Senate talks finance, hears about conference

Members of senate discussed the AIPAC conference, budget hearings, and an amendment at their meeting Monday. Morgan Nelson, senate president, and Jacob Rissler, junior senator at large, gave a presentation on their trip to Washington D.C., during midterm break, where they attended the American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference.
