Chadron State’s women’s basketball team has played two exhibition games to start of the 2012-13 season. The first was against Bringham Young University, played last Thursday, when the Eagles lost 89-51.

With the mats dusted off, Chadron State’s wrestlers prepare for the 2012 season. After multiple weeks of practicing, the wrestlers are ready to start the season with their annual Red and White dual held in the NPAC at 6 p.m. today.

On Saturday, CSC came alive late and scored 21 fourth quarter points before cruising to a 41-23 victory over Western New Mexico University.

Chadron State’s volleyball team played double games in Denver this weekend. On Friday, they squared off against Colorado School of Mines and came up short when the number 16 team swept them 25-14, 25-18, 25-16.

Chadron State’s cross country team competed in their first RMAC Championship on Saturday in Colorado Springs at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. For it being their first season as a DII team, Head Coach Ryan Baily was quite impressed.

After traveling two weekends in a row, the Chadron State volleyball team hosted three games this past weekend. However, the results weren’t what the team had in mind.

After defeating New Mexico Highlands University 36-33 on Saturday in Las Vegas, the Eagles have a serious chance to make a playoff push.

The Eagles cross country team participated in the Chile Pepper Festival this past weekend in Fayetteville, Ark., and proved themselves to be a team that can overcome tough odds.

The Eagles volleyball team traveled more than 40 hours this past weekend to play the Western New Mexico Mustangs and the New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls. Being in a bus for that long wasn’t the way most athletes would want to spend their fall break, but was worth it in the end.

No one will overlook quarterback Jonn McLain ever again, not after the sophomore of Chadron earned RMAC and Nebraska Division II player of the week honors.
