The Eagle volleyball team finished their spring season last Friday; a season which Head Volleyball Coach, Janel Baily deemed successful.

A losing record may be a statistic that can be disheartening to coaches and players alike, but the newly signed Chadron State head volleyball coach Janel Baily is already moving forward to next season.

Chadron State’s interim head volleyball coach Janel Baily’s passion for athletics began at a young age, was further cultivated in high school where she played volleyball, and then again in college, but her love for her husband didn’t take nearly as long to develop.

This past weekend, the Chadron State volleyball team wrapped up its season with a game against Regis University and Metro State. Both teams beat the Eagles to make CSC’s final record 5-24 overall, 2-16 in the RMAC.

Chadron State’s volleyball team played double games in Denver this weekend. On Friday, they squared off against Colorado School of Mines and came up short when the number 16 team swept them 25-14, 25-18, 25-16.

After traveling two weekends in a row, the Chadron State volleyball team hosted three games this past weekend. However, the results weren’t what the team had in mind.

The Eagles volleyball team traveled more than 40 hours this past weekend to play the Western New Mexico Mustangs and the New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls. Being in a bus for that long wasn’t the way most athletes would want to spend their fall break, but was worth it in the end.

Chadron State volleyball played on their home court for the first time this year, and unfortunately, came away with two losses. The Eagles, now 3-12 overall, hop on the road to face Colorado Mesa and Fort Lewis.

Chadron State’s volleyball team came out strong against University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, but couldn’t put a full game together.

Chadron State volleyball team’s fight improved from Friday when they fell in three to Metro State, but wasn’t enough to help them seal a victory over the Regis Rangers on Saturday.
