On Tuesday, a trio of musical ensembles graced the Memorial Hall Auditorium, filling the stagnant air with flowing jazz beats. This end of the year affair celebrated jazz classics and the talented students performing them.

The End of the World Party 2012 will kickoff at 3 p.m. on Thursday May 3, as the semester comes to an end at Chadron State College.

The Chadron State Art Department is hosting its annual All Students Art Show in Memorial Hall’s Main Gallery. The Art Show has been open since April 16 and will remain open until April 30. The gallery is open for viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the week days or by an appointment.

Stepping into the Chadron State College president’s office April 18 was like walking into a church for a funeral. The several flower bouquets arranged around Janie Park’s office, combined with the collection of plants already assembled, turned the space into a veritable greenhouse.

The CSC Theatre production of William Inge’s “Bus Stop” is a slow-but-sometimes-funny romp through the dated social mores of the 1950s.
Though I was disappointed with the play’s resolution, I was delighted by the wonderful set and the cast’s performance.

Despite the growing statistics and information availability, many people still choose to ignore the seriousness of distracted driving.

Chadron State College hosted “Asian Pacific Luau” 5 p.m., Thursday in the ballroom. Chadron State Diversity Committee and Pine Ridge Job Corps sponsored the event. Students from CSC and Pine Ridge Job Corps joined together to perform for the Luau.
