CAB kick starts spring semester with full Tuesday meeting
• Sherry Bear Robe from the United States Census spoke at the first Campus Activities Board meeting of the semester. She advertised that the census will pay over $10 per hour for gathering census data in Dawes and the surrounding counties. If anyone is interesting, forms and cards are located at the information desk in the Student Center.
• Vice-President of CAB Jamie Benson announced that if anyone has information, events, or activities they wish to be advertised on the Plasma screen TV in the Student Center, there is a yellow folder outside Laure Sinn’s office. Sinn is coordinator of student activities. Students can also email Benson at [email protected].
• Jordan Haas announced that wrestling is to host a duel this weekend. “Get your tails over to the PAC to support the wrestling team,” Haas said.
• Sinn announced that the speaker originally scheduled to speak for the Galaxy Series received a TV offer and will not be speaking.
• On Jan. 28, students will have an opportunity to put local police in the hot seat. Coffee and Cookies with Chadron Cops will be at 6 p.m. in the Student Center.
• Randy Rhine, vice-president of student services, announced that student trustee applications are being accepted. Contact Doug Liewer, student trustee, for more information by emailing him at [email protected].

• The Winter Magic Formal is slated for Feb. 14.
