Valentine’s Day, Spring Days, and Scholastic Day fill CAB agenda

Several Student Senate members attended Tuesday’s Campus Activities Board meeting, in which Spring Days and Scholastic Day were discussed among other topics.

  • President of Senate Jake Zitterkopf and several other Senate members attended the meeting in order to hear feedback about how relevant CAB is to the campus.
  • When CAB President Matt Coe asked for feedback from clubs, NOCS representative Kelsey Amos, sophomore of Chadron, suggested eliminating free movie night and using those funds for something which could involve more students. Amos suggested an activity such as a concert.
  • Vice-President Jamie Benson encouraged participation in Scholastic Day and Spring Days. Scholastic Day is April 9, Spring Days goes from April 11 – 17. Clubs are required to participate in one of the activities to receive CAB funding.
  • CAB Secretary Sarah Counts announced that every club must vote. Only one representative from each club can vote, she said.
  • Secretary Christine Aye said there is $9,342 in the treasury.
  • Music Teachers National Association, is selling singing valentines. For $15, purchasers can give the gift of a rose, a personalized candy bar and a song.
  • War Eagles will be selling balloons for Valentine’s Day. To purchase one, contact a War Eagles member.
