CAB president comments on rude responses to improvement survey

CAB asked clubs to update information online and discussed Senate’s surveys during Tuesday’s meeting.

  • CAB Treasurer Christine Aye said there is currently $7,442.50 in the treasury. Aye also said club budget packages will be online by Tuesday.
  • President Matt Coe said, “I want to bring attention to our very own [secretary] Sarah Counts who won [Winter Magic Formal Queen] and Doug Liewer who took first runner up.”
  • Each club was asked to update information, as requested by Andrew Schmid, programmer/analyst at Chadron State, Coe said. In order to update information, go to www.csc.edu/clubs/index.csc or call 432-6315.
  • Two weeks ago, CAB members filled out surveys for Senate. There were such questions as, “How often do you think CAB should meet?” and “How can CAB be improved?”
Coe said there were profane comments. All profane surveys “will be disregarded,” Coe said. He asked that those not “serious about government” to “please resign from CAB.”
  • Jamie Benson, CAB vice president, said the plasma TV in the Student Center has been updated. There is a sign-up sheet at the Student Center desk for clubs or individuals looking to advertise or announce events.
  • Laure Sinn, coordinator of student activities, said Late Night at the Pit will be Casino themed and is set for 9 p.m. tonight.
Sinn said “There will be cards, craps. . . food, fun and prizes.”
  • Student trustee Doug Liewer said students do not need to get new student ID cards for the NeSIS upgrade. Students will only need new login IDs.
