House seat challenger speaks at Sandoz Center

At 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rebekah Davis, candidate for Nebraska’s third district U.S. House of Representatives seat spoke at the Sandoz Center Chicoine Atrium.
The Alliance native, a Democrat, will face Republican Adrian Smith in the 2010 midterm elections.
“More than ever, we need a strong voice to represent us in Congress who speaks for all Nebraskans and who is willing to work with both parties to bring jobs and prosperity to our state,” Davis said.
Smith, the incumbent in the race, hails from Gering and was elected to his second term with over 75 percent of the vote in 2008’s election.
Davis’s appearance was sponsored by the Political Science Club.
