Letters: Alex Villeda

Dear Editor:

I’m a senior and I must say I read your article and it is one of the best articles I have read while at Chadron.

I am all for trayless and going green, but when the senate passed this trayless thing without so much as asking for our opinion that really makes my blood boil.

The Senate, most of whom are my friends, doesn’t truly represent the student body.

They claim they’ll save money, but who is saving it? Certainly not the students, the dining fee will probably stay the same or even go up.

So the winner of it all is the dining service, plain and simple. How dumb is the senate to think that dining service will “re-invest” that money on us? They are in business to make money.

I get mad when I talk to the senate and they say they represent us, or that I should just join. Apparently I have to be in the senate for my voice to count.

Anyway, thank you for writing your article. I’m glad to know that this school’s student body isn’t all like the pig-headed senate.
