Senate reiterates changes in registration
Student Senate talked over changes in registration dates due to NeSIS, the recent elections, and the opening of applications for ambassadors and orientation leaders in their meeting Monday.
- Registration for graduate, senior, and junior students will open April 5. Sophomores and freshmen can register starting April 11. Before any student can register they must accept the new credentials for TrueYou, an identity management system.
- The Nebraska Student Information System, NeSIS, does not allow a faculty member to access a student’s schedule to build it for them, but advisors will still be able to assist with the transition.
- Voter attendance at last week’s elections was better than past years with approximately 300 votes and all 17 amendments passed.
- Applications for new ambassadors for the fall semester are due April 2. They can be found either in Crites Hall or with Laure Sinn, coordinator of student events.
- New student orientation leader applications are being accepted. Orientation is August 18 – 21 and each leader will be paid $100 and eat for free.
- The Learning Center will be moved to the first floor of the library starting in fall.
