‘Science Abroad’ series highlights experiences of faculty, students
Faculty and students of the Chadron State College Physical and Life Sciences Department will present personal accounts of their experiences in science and providing medical aid in other countries during the new “Science Abroad” series.
Ann Buchmann, associate professor of physical and life sciences, will open the series next Thursday with a presentation about her experiences in Tanzania entitled “Stealth, Speed, and Support: Strategies of Predators and Prey in East Africa.” It will be 5 p.m. in Math and Science Building room 144.
Future talks will feature students Jacob Zitterkopf of Scottsbluff and Ashley Maxon of Laurel, who will speak about their summer experiences in working in health care in Argentina.
