Are you a reader? Become a contributor!
Dear readers,
The Eagle, which has been the voice of Chadron State College since 1920, is pleased to announce the beginning of another exciting year of publications.
We are eager to provide the readers with the most accurate information possible.
We cover events on campus, give an overview of students’ lifes and show everyone what the students of CSC are, what they think and what they do.
Our goal is to be as open as possible, so your opinion is what counts. Each reader is of great importance to us.
We welcome diversity, which means we greatly appreciate any opinions and contributions. Your opinion does not have to be the same as that of The Eagle.
If you have an opinion on what is happening in the world or on campus, or just want to give a thumbs up to a new movie or a thumbs down to the weather – we will be happy to publish it. If you want to give us your feedback, you are welcome to write a letter to the editor.
The word-count limit is 200 words for the letters to the editor and 500 words for guest columns and editorials.
What if you don’t like to write, but can draw comics and cartoons on various topics from something to laugh at to something to think about? The Eagle will be happy to publish your opinion in the form of drawings!
If you want to have your contribution published in the following Thursday’s publication, the deadline for your submission is noon on Monday.
The decision about the publication will not be based on any type of discrimination, and minorities are strongly encouraged to participate. The Eagle does reserve the right to accept, reject or edit your submissions.
You can e-mail your contributions, guest columns, guest editorials opinions, thumbs up/thumbs down, cartoons and comics to [email protected].
Please make sure you include your first name, last name, class rank, hometown, and contact telephone number. Phone numbers are for our reference only and will not be published. Submissions without a phone number will not be accepted.
Thank you!
