RLA sponsors pink Yoplait lid collection

The Residence Life Association has placed marked containers at the front desk in every dorm and in the Student Center to collect pink lids from containers of Yoplait yogurt.

The containers are part of RLA’s effort to contribute to the “Save Lids Save Lives” campaign. For about $1 at local retailers, students may purchase pink-lidded Yoplait yogurt.

If students deposit lids from the yogurt in any of the RLA containers, the lids will be mailed to Yoplait.

The campaign’s website states, “For every pink lid you send by December 31, 2010 Yoplait will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, up to $1.6 million.”
