CSC honors veterans on the Dean’s Green

Chadron State College paid tribute Thursday morning to the nation’s servicemen and servicewomen with a Veterans Day ceremony at the Dean’s Green.
U.S. Army Maj. Logan Veath, a CSC Reserve Officer Training Corps instructor, delivered a five-minute address to the gathered crowd.
The ceremony was accompanied by a moment of silence, and a 21-gun salute performed by members of the CSC ROTC unit.
Michaela VanSkiver, junior of North Platte, played “Taps” to honor the nation’s fallen soldiers. The crowd included the CSC football team.
The Veterans Day ceremony is planned to be an annual event at CSC. This year’s ceremony was put together by CSC’s newly formed Veterans Club, the CSC Admissions Office, the ROTC, and the War Eagles club.
