PERU—The organized search for a Peru State College student missing since Dec. 3 ended Tuesday.

“We have exhausted all of our search efforts at this point,” Nemaha County Sheriff Brent Lottman said in a press release Tuesday. “We continue to aggressively investigate Thomas’s disappearance and will resume searching should information become available.”

Friends reported Tyler Thomas, 19, PSC freshman of Bellevue, missing at 3 a.m. Dec. 3, after she did not return from an off-campus party. Fellow PSC student, Joshua Keadle, 29, arrested Dec. 8 on charges of providing false information and tampering with evidence, remains in jail as of the Tuesday press release.

The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation with assistance from the FBI and the Nebraska State Patrol, as well as the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office, the Nebraska City Police Department and Team Adam from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The town of Peru does not have a police force.

“If anyone feels they have information that could aid in the investigation, please contact the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office,” Lottman said.
