Dining Services recalls ice coffee packets

CSC Dining Services issued an e-mail Wednesday recalling packets distributed at a food show earlier that day by an iced coffee vendor.

The e-mail, from Tracy Shuck, senior director of food services, states, “If you received a packet of product from the iced coffee vendor, we would like it returned to food service as soon as possible.

“There may be a problem with the integrity of the product.  If you have any questions, please free to contact us at 432-6734.  Thank you for your cooperation.”

The Eagle was unable to contact the distributor Kerry, Inc. of Beloit Wis., prior to press time.

Shuck said he did not know the cause for the recall when The Eagle contacted him by telephone Wednesday evening.

“We just need to have it back. We are just doing this as a precaution,” Shuck said.
