Sub-zero wind chills cancel Monday’s night classes
A flurry of snow beginning late Monday morning and continuing throughout the day turned into more substantial snowfall and, fueled by gusting winds of more than 30 m.p.h., led to the early closing of nearly all campus buildings and the official cancelation of night classes for Monday evening.
At the time the photo at left was taken, the official temperature in Chadron was 10 degrees F and winds from east-north east were gusting at 31 m.p.h., according to weather.com’s local listing.
Forecasts for the weekend predict highs of 50 degrees.
