Select faculty members of the CSC Music Department performed a recital at 3 p.m., Sunday to an audience of more than 70 students and community members.
A percussion work performed by George “Sandy” Schaefer, professor of music, started off the afternoon concert, and was followed by a set of five male vocal pieces by Dr. Joel Schreuder, associate professor of music. Then, a Sonatina for Clarinet and Piano was performed, with Laura Empson, adjunct faculty member, on clarinet, and Dr. James Margetts, associate professor of music, accompanying on piano.
Next to last was a trio performance composed of Dr. Una Taylor, assistant professor of music, Lauren Stephens, adjunct faculty member, and Margetts. The final selection performed was “Fantasie: Variations on The Carnival of Venice,” played by Associate Professor Dr. Adam Lambert.
