Student senate election – 2011

CSC Student Senate elections have been set for 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. March 29 and 30 in the student center. Individuals interested in joining senate must submit a petition by March 22 in order to be on the ballot for the Spring 2011 elections.

Four positions are currently available on constitutional court, four at-large senators, seven [though only five can be filled through the election] in liberal arts, four in B.E.A.M.S.S., and five in E.H.P.C.P.S.W.

The new President and Vice President will also be chosen at the elections.

Current Student Body President, Jacob Karmazin, said about joining senate “I encourage everyone to join Student Senate.  It’s an excellent way to make a productive change on campus and to meet new people.”

Jennifer Weiss, senate vice president, said “Senate is a good way to build relationships and it makes you very aware of everything going on at school.”

Petitions can be obtained by visiting the Student Senate offices in the student center, or by downloading one from http://www.csc.edu/studentsenate/applications.csc.
