Campus master planning on schedule, according to NSCS leadership

As mandated by NSCS board policy, campus facilities master planning is required to occur for each campus every 10 years. The project, which is already underway, is projected to conclude early in 2012. A trio of three groups – Bahr Vermeer and Haecker (BVH) Architects, The Clark Enersen Partners, and Olsson Associates Engineering, are handling the planning.

Last semester, select students were invited to participate in a video conference with members of BVH and The Clark Enersen Partners in order to obtain feedback from the student body on aspects of campus that they felt needed improvement. The various stages of the planning include project orientation, data gathering, need and project analysis, master plan concepts, and final master plan preparation. In a statement included in the agenda for the board’s Wednesday meeting, the planning process is “currently on time,” and the board does not “currently anticipate any delays in realizing our January completion date.”
