Following a hit during Saturday’s home game against Angelo State, tailback Dominic Morris has been released from the hospital, and is recovering quite well.

Morris suffered a blood clot, compounded through a concussion caused by an automobile accident earlier in the year, and was rushed in an ambulance to the Chadron Community Hospital, where he was then flown via helicopter to the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

According to the house supervisor at Regional West, Morris was released Tuesday morning.

Morris joins a number of other athletes who have been sidelined due to health issues this fall. Other football players affected by health issues are Jake Blackburn (car accident), Garrett Gilkey (appendectomy), Mike Sandstrom (car accident), Glen Clinton (thumb ligaments), and Quinell Atkins (hamstring).
