Is Bill Maher’s comment racist?

During a bit on Friday’s episode of “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said, “Rick Perry is so dumb Republicans are even considering voting for a black guy,” lampooning the public and media’s shifting focus from one Republican presidential candidate to another.
Fox News quickly called the joke a “racist swipe.”
