Conference dominates senate discussion
The upcoming Leadership Conference was the main topic of discussion at Monday’s Student Senate meeting.
Vice President James Bahensky went over the schedule for the upcoming leadership conference.
Bahensky also said that as of Monday, there had been no advertising promoting the governor’s speech. Bahensky asked for volunteers to help advertise by speaking on the radio. Only one person volunteered, and after a senator’s suggestion, Bahensky also agreed to speak on the radio about Gov. Heineman’s visit.
Treasurer T.J. Thomson said that there is $13,849 in un-allocated funds. He also announced the students who would be serving on the Senate Finance Committee, following two sets of interviews done last week
Thomson introduced a $270 allocation from the foundation Account for Senate T-shirts, and introduced another allocation for $800 towards the upcoming leadership conference. Both motions were approved.
Cressey Yeutter, senator of E.H.P.C.P.S.W., said that she and senate adviser Jamie Wada had finished putting together a survey asking students what they thought about online classes. Yeutter said that she planned to ask teachers to give their students the survey, since students might ignore an email survey.
