Use mid-term break wisely
Once again mid-term week is here, and the general feeling on campus has been stress, stress, stress. Professors and students have been fretting over the deadlines of midterm projects and exams, and the upcoming break will be well deserved.
With mid-terms soon over we as students have to use this spare time not only to relax but also to consider reorganizing how we will work for the rest of the semester.
While some students already have their methods of studying and working already formed to their taste, it’s always good to reconsider how the semester has worked out so far so students can try to fix any cracks in their schedules.
We know how hard it can be to stay focused or meet deadlines. One minute you might be searching on Google for the overseas jazz tours of Duke Ellington, the next, a video pops up in the results and one spends the next half hour watching music videos from Ellington to Elvis to everything else.
Another major problem that some students need to fix is the balance between schoolwork and their friends and job. Some students spend almost all of their time with friends and little with work, while the others spend too much time with work and not enough with friends.
Enjoy the break, as this will be a perfect time for reflection and self-adjustment.
