CAB allocates $3,700 for movie, massages and munchies
At its meeting Tuesday, the Campus Activities Board allocated the remainder of its money for events during finals week.
The CAB allocated $3,700 toward activities, including professional massages for students, snacks, and a free movie night scheduled for Dec. 11. Club representatives unanimously approved the allocation without discussion.
Laure Sinn, adviser, said the massages are tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 4 – 7 p.m. Dec. 13 – 15 in the Student Center.
Luke Wright, president, said 85 people attended Bongo Ball Mania two weeks ago.
Jamie Keller, vice president, resigned from his position owing to his graduation in December.
Wright said Keller’s position will be filled next semester.
T.J. Thomson, secretary, said that clubs’ financial information is now available online.
URLs for clubs’ account balances were sent to club advisers via email.
Jazzy Seumalo, special and cultural events coordinator, said there is a senior art show 4 p.m., Dec. 2, in Memorial Hall.
Sinn said the Christmas parade of lights is scheduled for 6 p.m., Dec. 8. There will be a reception afterward at the courthouse.
The Public Relations club is hosting a formal veterans’ benefit ball 6 – 9:30 p.m., Thursday, in the Student Center Ballroom. Admission is $3 per individual and $5 per couple. Half of the proceeds will go to the veterans’ hospital in Hot Springs, S.D., and the other half will go to a shelter in Belle Fourche, S.D. that helps homeless veterans.

Tuesday’s meeting was the last CAB meeting of the semester. CAB will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
