NSCS trustees call special meeting for Dec. 14, agenda not available
The Nebraska State College System has scheduled a special videoconference meeting of the Board of Trustees for Dec. 14.
On Monday, The Eagle requested a copy of the agenda for the meeting, and was told by Lori Glass, NSCS staff assistant, that the agenda would be posted later that same day; however, the agenda was not posted.
In a Tuesday email, Glass stated that the NSCS was “having problems with getting things posted.”
The Eagle requested that the system office electronically forward the agenda by the end of business Tuesday.
Wednesday afternoon, Administrative Assistant to the Chancellor & System Office Manager Lynne Olson, stated in an email that the agenda would most likely be released Dec. 5, “if not before.”
Olson said Wednesday at 2:15 via telephone that NSCS Chancellor Stan Carpenter was not in, and that Vice Chancellor for Employee Relations Kristin Petersen was in a telephone conference and not available.
Olson also said that she would ask if an electronic version of the document could be forwarded to The Eagle. She further said that she knew that no decisions would be made during the special meeting, and that the meeting would be “discussion only.”
