Final centennial class graduates

More than 150 graduates received degrees from Chadron State College during two ceremonies Friday. The graduate ceremony took place 2 p.m. in the Auditorium of Memorial Hall, and the undergraduate ceremony took place two hours later across campus in the Armstrong Gymnasium.
Timothy Anderson, CSC business professor, and Jeffrey King, cardiologist at the Nebraska Heart Institute, delivered the commencement addresses. Anderson spoke to the graduates at the 2 p.m. ceremony, and King addressed the undergraduates at the 4 p.m. ceremony.

Four graduates delivered reflection from their times at CSC. Two master’s degree candidates – Chastity Julson of Oelrichs, S.D., and Grant Sasse of Monument, Colo. spoke during the graduate ceremony, and two bachelor’s degree candidates – Angela Heesacker of Hay Springs and Jamie Keller of Scottsbluff spoke during the undergraduate ceremony.
The 2011 winter commencement marked the final graduating class of Chadron State College during the institution’s centennial anniversary, which spanned a two-year period.
