CSC will not renew O’Boyle’s contract

Chadron State College announced today that it will not renew former CSC Head Coach Bill O’Boyle’s contract, which is set to expire June 2012.
The decision was announced via a brief 150-word news release on the CSC Athletics page, and followed allegations announced in October that O’Boyle may have misused fundraising money relating to the college’s football program.
O’Boyle is a member of CSC’s professional, non-unionized staff. The Nebraska State College System’s Board of Trustees approved O’Boyle’s 2011-12 $59,129 salary at its June 2 meeting.
The release stated that a search for O’Boyle’s replacement will commence immediately after the holidays.

The NCAA and state auditor have yet to submit their reports on the issue, but the admin. passes judgement. Anyone else think this is weird? After the state aditor called the BKD report inaccurate and incomplete, anuone doubt an agenda was in place by the admin?
