College approves search committee
CSC President Janie Park approved committee members for the head football coaching position Wednesday, Kara Vogt, director of Human Resources, stated via email early Wednesday afternoon.
CSC Athletic Director Brad Smith, alongside football alumnus Don Beebe will co-chair the five-member committee of CSC faculty, professional staff, alumni, and community members.
The five committee members joining Smith and Beebe are Scott Ritzen, CSC’s head wrestling coach; Melissa Miskimins, CSC’s NCAA compliance coordinator; Randy Bauer, local Chadron businessman; Connie Rasmussen, executive director of the CSC Foundation; and Jay Rhoades, CSC football alumnus.
Smith, speaking via telephone in Indianapolis, said that the search committee doesn’t have a specific date by which the position must be filled, but that the college would like it filled “as soon as possible.”
“We’ll get our noses to the grindstone as soon as we get back,” Smith said. The application period for the vacancy ends Jan. 20.

2 secrataries who wouldn’t know a punt from a halfback pass and the rest except for ritzen are a rubber stamp for the athletic director, if he’s still around WHEN the ncaa gets done.
What a joke. Randy is a puppet for CSC and is good friends with Brad. Connie who has no idea what a football looks like. Jay who has an ego the size of Texas and also tells you what you want to hear. Melissa who is Brads right hand person and doesn’t want to lose her job, so she will agree with Brad. Notice nobody is on that from O’B’s era. That is the only Era that mattered in the history of CSC…. Randy is a joke. It wouldn’t surprise me if he wasn’t behind the firing of O’B…CSC you officially suck!!!!
