NSCS raises insurance coverage for board members

The Nebraska State College System increased board members’ travel and accident insurance coverage from $500,000 to $2.5 million, NSCS Chancellor Stan Carpenter stated in his January report to the board.

The coverage represents a five-fold increase, and includes a jump from $100,000 to $500,000 per individual, with a “very modest increase in premium,” the report states. The premium amount was not identified in the report, and queries to the System Office Tuesday were not answered by press time Wednesday.
