Chadron State College paid $22,545 for a digital message board that was recently mounted to the newly-upgraded campus entrance at the corner of 10th and Main Streets.

The director of conferencing will chair a committee responsible for establishing what will appear on the sign, Blair Brennan, coordinator of physical facilities, stated in an email Wednesday.

The sign will be able to feature color images, as well as motion sequences.

“The new sign is capable of producing photo images, although the closer you get, the more distortion you will see,” Brennan stated.

Brennan stated that he hoped the installer from the manufacturer would be on campus today or tomorrow, but that he hasn’t received confirmation yet.

“It should be a very nice addition to the campus, upon its completion in the next week or so,” Brennan stated.
