Legislature considers Armstrong funding

CSC President Janie Park, NSCS Chancellor Stan Carpenter, and a group of student-athletes travelled to the Nebraska Legislature to make the college’s case for LB1019, a bill which,if passed, would provide $13.7 million in funds for the college’s Armstrong Gym renovation and expansion.

The group visited the legislature’s appropriations committee Jan. 31. Sen. John Harms, independent of Scottsbluff, introduced LB1019. The legislature’s information office stated Wednesday that the committee had not taken action on the bill yet.
