RLA encourages safe driving
On average, 5,474 people are killed in U.S. roadways, and an estimated additional 488,000 are injured in motor vehicle crashes that were reported to have involved distracted driving. Despite the growing statistics and information availability, many people still choose to ignore the seriousness of distracted driving.

Park to retire; Rhine steps in
Chadron State College President Janie Park announced Tuesday she was retiring effective May 11, and that Randy Rhine, vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Services, would serve as interim president.

Chadron State’s Theatre program is driving into “Bus Stop” as their final performance of the 2011-2012 season. “Bus Stop,” written by William Inge, is a play set in the 1950s that follows the story of eight people who are stuck in a diner during a freak snowstorm.
