Chadron State College’s Theatre Department is once again including a musical in its drama season. This year, it’s a take on the 1980s musical “Little Shop of Horrors,” itself a tribute to a film created two decades

earlier. Students began auditioning for the show Tuesday evening, in an attempt to land themselves a role in the roughly 10-member cast. Callbacks occurred Wednesday evening, and the final cast list is expected to be published Friday. Roger Mays, professor of Visual and Performing Arts, said Wednesday that the show was one that it he expected would “challenge the students quite a bit,” but that would also be equally as rewarding. The show opens at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 4.
