CAB seeks to fill open exec spot
The Campus Activities Board is one step closer to filling its remaining executive board spot when it opened the floor for nominations at its Tuesday meeting.
Students who have served as a general member for a full semester are eligible for membership on the board’s executive body. Media Club representative Ashley Swanson was nominated, but Dani Buckley, CAB President, encouraged anyone else who was interested in the position to write a letter of intent by next week when voting will take place.
In other matters, Vice President Lane Swedberg said that proposals to have anything put on the agenda must be emailed in by Sunday to Secretary Karly Watson. Swedberg also asked that representatives only represent a single club.
Swedberg then asked that if clubs have activities on campus, to speak to Shelly Johns.
Kellie Aye asked that all clubs pick up their Finance reports.
Watson asked that everyone fill in contact sheets for their club. Clubs are allowed two absences before the club is suspended, according to Watson, so she asked that if a representative could not make it to a meeting that they send their alternate.
Darren Burrows said that elections for dorm representatives for Student Senate were yesterday and today in Resident Halls.
Laure Sinn, CAB adviser said that the Club Fair is today, and asked that clubs sign up for a table to promote their club.
Johns asked that the representatives pick up brochures on the changes in the Student Center. There is a new bulletin board located in the student center, which will boast a calendar with the events on campus. Johns said that in order to get an event on the board, a club should get let her know about the event by the 15th of each month.
